New Research: How Are Low-Income Characters Depicted on TV?

Our newest media research, Power of Pop: What TV Gets Wrong About Getting By aimed to answer this question. We analyzed 105 randomly sampled television episodes that aired on broadcast, cable, and streaming services to better understand portrayals of income differences. Check out our key findings, which go along with actionable recommendations on what we can do to create more accurate and visionary Economic Justice narratives.
