Dear Friend,
As your Congressman, one of the issues that I hear about most from North Texans is the high cost of health care and prescription drugs. I am working to pass the Build Back Better Act which lowers prescription drug prices by allowing Medicare to negotiate the costs of certain expensive drugs. It also caps out-of-pocket drug costs on Medicare at $2,000 and monthly insulin costs at $35.
Since Texas has refused to expand Medicaid, the Build Back Better Act expands access to care to nearly 1 million Texans, who have previously been denied Medicaid. These folks will now have access to affordable plans on healthcare.gov.

I urge the Senate to pass the Build Back Better Act and our critical provisions to expand affordable health care, lower prescription drug costs and let North Texans keep more of their hard-earned money in their own pockets. The best part about the Build Back Better Act is that it cuts taxes for the middle class and combats inflation by lowering costs.
