I am proud to announce I've filed HB 4357, an affordable housing project for Habitat for Humanity here in Brandon.

It's a good feeling to be able to help build and now support my local Habitat for Humanity project. With rents soaring, housing prices at all-time highs, and home affordability increasingly out of reach for ALL families, this project is desperately needed.





Make no mistake, we are in a home affordability crisis across our community. Tampa Bay had one of the highest inflation rates in the nation last month led in large part by rent increases. New movers are simply out pacing our ability to build and we don't have excess capacity left to fill.



I'm doing everything possible to fight for more affordable housing. I voted against the Republican's repeal of the Sadowski Trust Fund, a program to put hundreds of millions of dollars over the last twenty years into new units but was never funded and ultimately killed by the Governor this year. Now, I'm taking matters into my own hands with Habitat for Humanity.
