John -- The fight for fair redistricting doesn’t end after state legislatures pass unfair maps.
In states like Ohio and Texas, where Republicans have gerrymandered maps along partisan or racial lines, we are helping voters challenge those maps in court. And we plan to win. But work like this takes resources.
Will you make a donation and support our efforts in the next steps of the fight for fair maps? Litigation is one of many tools we can use to ensure the final maps are fair.

In Ohio, conservative map drawers produced a congressional map that gave their party at least 80 percent of the districts even though the state is closely divided politically. And even the state’s Republican governor raised concerns about the constitutionality of the state legislative maps approved by Republican officeholders who serve on the state’s political redistricting commission.
Meanwhile, in Texas, the GOP state legislature passed a congressional map that eliminates all but one competitive district and -- staggeringly -- increases the number of majority-white districts despite 95% of the state’s population growth over the past decade coming from communities of color.
But Republican governors and gerrymandered state legislatures that help pass manipulated maps don’t necessarily have the final word in the redistricting process.
Voters can challenge unlawful maps like the ones in Ohio and Texas in court. And we’re committed to helping them do it.
Challenging unfair maps is necessary if we are going to get fair representation for voters this decade. We must seize this opportunity.
