The August earthquake was another devastating blow for Haiti, after so many other natural disasters and political conflicts. Project HOPE immediately deployed an Emergency Response Team to support local health workers and communities. We are still on the ground helping rebuild the health care system — but we need you by our side.

More than 80% of COVID-19 vaccine doses to date have gone to people in higher-income countries, while researchers predict it might take until 2023 until lower-income countries have enough supply to vaccinate their populations. Until everyone has access to the vaccine, COVID-19 will continue to threaten us all.

COVID-19 has revealed the scale of our global mental health crisis, especially for health workers who have faced so much trauma and stress. Project HOPE began a pilot project to provide mental health and resiliency trainings for health workers in places like Indonesia and the Dominican Republic. It gives health workers tools to process trauma and safeguard their own mental health.
