John,
Earlier today I logged into ActBlue to check how our fundraising has been doing in December. Right now, we’re $5,102 short from where we wanted to be at this point in the month.
This is a critical problem for several reasons — especially at this time (I’ll explain later in this email). Will you chip in $5 or anything you can right now to help us catch up on our fundraising? We’re racing to catch up to where we need to be by midnight tonight.
- Reason #1: Cori isn’t like other Members of Congress. She doesn’t rely on CEO friends, corporate PACs, or Big Oil to power her work — she’s relying on you, John. That means staying on track of our fundraising is a big deal.
- Reason #2: Cori is at the forefront of our movement leading efforts to address the affordable housing crisis, reform our criminal-legal system, and combat the climate crisis. Our team is also preparing to announce major new legislation that would have a tremendous impact on millions of families in our country. If we want to continue growing this momentum and make sure we have the resources to support Cori’s upcoming action — we must hit this goal.
- And reason #3 (this is really important): Cori recently announced that she’s officially running for re-election. Potential challengers are starting to reach out to donors and plan their strategy to take Cori’s seat. We need to be READY and prepared to defend Cori’s seat — especially since the GOP has made it clear they feel threatened by her anti-racist, progressive agenda.
That’s why we urgently need your support today, John.
Whether you can give $100, $50, or $5 — every little bit helps. Cori’s leadership has already sent shockwaves through Congress and we can’t afford to slow down now. Please chip in to help us reach our goal by midnight so we can continue powering Cori’s work for transformative, people-first policies.
Chip in $5
Together,
Aarica
