One More Wave has empowered over 500 veterans to find healing and community through surf therapy since 2015, but to keep on going they need our support!

Founded by Alex West during his retirement from the Navy SEAL Teams after seeing how difficult it can be for adaptive surfers to find equipment, One More Wave has stepped up to build the custom equipment their riders need and has facilitated hundreds of surf therapy meetups around the nation.

How They Do It

For many veteran grant recipients, off-the-shelf is off-the-table, so One More Wave guilds each new team rider through the 27-step process of designing and building a custom surf craft that will best suite their needs.

Once a grant recipient has received their surf craft, they are plugged into our national network of surfers and facilitators so they have a community to engage and grow with. Surf Therapy is best enjoyed with friends!
