** New York State URGENTLY needs a plan for transitioning to renewable energy and renewable heat - now!

Join Alliance for a Green Economy, the Renewable Heat Now campaign*, and a growing number of allies as we return to Albany on Thursday, November 14 for the monthly Public Service Commission meeting.

Join us to witness what happens in the 19th Floor Boardroom.
Will the PSC finally issue the long-awaited energy efficiency order?
Will we again hear climate change denial from a Commissioner?
Will the PSC acknowledge that the uncertainty generated by not having a plan thwarts our efforts to promote energy efficiency and renewable heat and emboldens fossil fuel infrastructure buildout?

On November 14 we will again gather in Agency Building 3 in the 19th Floor Boardroom at 9:30am for the 10:30 PSC meeting. Then the Renewable Heat Now campaign, concerned New Yorkers, and New York legislators will hold a 1:30pm press conference in Legislative Office Building Room 130 reacting to the what was (or wasn't) addressed by the PSC.

The October 17 PSC meeting was an amazing, shocking, and unifying experience. As we held space in the PSC boardroom, we were elated to hear Commission members mention heat pumps; but we were dismayed and angered to hear them repeat gas industry and climate change denial myths! Our post-meeting press conference with allies and legislators informed the media and the public about how decisions made at the PSC impact the people of New York. The world is watching what New York will do. The time to act is NOW. Let’s make sure NYS regulators and Governor Cuomo, who appoints the Commissioners, know that we are watching them and that we hold them accountable for serving the PUBLIC’s interest and protecting the planet - not protecting the utilities’ bottom line.
