John–

As this year comes to a close, we want to reflect on both the challenges
and victories. The COVID-19 pandemic continued to take a toll on our
communities, while the gun violence crisis took the lives of more and more
people, forever changing the lives of survivors.

But this year has not been without progress—because of supporters like
you, we're closer than ever to ending gun violence in America.

Here are just some of the amazing things we've accomplished together:

* Throughout the 2021 election cycle, Moms Demand Action and Students
Demand Action volunteers took more than 100,000 campaign actions in
support of Gun Sense Candidates nationwide.

* Students Demand Action has continued to grow and now has nearly 450
groups across the country.

* Several states—including Indiana, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, Hawaii, and
West Virginia—defeated bills to create or expand so-called "Stand Your
Ground," or "Shoot First," laws.

* In November, heeding Everytown's call, the Biden-Harris Administration
announced sweeping executive actions on suicide prevention, focusing
on access to firearms and secure storage.

* The Everytown Survivor Network hosted the first ever National Gun
Violence Survivor Summit, with hundreds of gun violence survivors from
44 states and Washington, D.C. gathering for the two-day virtual
summit.

* The U.S. House passed multiple gun violence prevention bills,
including background checks on all gun sales and the George Floyd
Justice in Policing Act.

Our work, however, is far from over. In 2022, we plan to continue doing
what we do best: rolling up our red sleeves and getting to work to save
lives. We want to know why you're in this fight: [ [link removed] ]Take our survey today
and let us know why you're a part of this movement.

Onward,

Everytown and Moms Demand Action
