We want to make 2022 the best year ever for Special Olympics and for people with intellectual disabilities (ID). And we bet you do, too!
After the last couple of years, it would just be such a good feeling if we were stronger than ever in 2022, right? That’s what we think — and because you’re such an important part of the Special Olympics movement, we want to know your thoughts, too:
Which Special Olympics program
do you most want to see grow in 2022?
Equipment:
Making sure athletes have everything they need to compete >> [link removed]
Inclusive Health:
Giving people with ID access to equitable health programs & services >> [link removed]
Unified Schools:
Helping more young people become agents of inclusion >> [link removed]
Ending discrimination:
Growing a movement that celebrates all differences and abilities >> [link removed]
This is an incredibly important moment. There are more than 5 million Special Olympics athletes worldwide, but last year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we were only able to reach 3.2 million. We need to get every single athlete back on the field.
That’s why we’re asking for your input as we finalize our plans for next year. You’re such an important part of this movement, and we’re so grateful — together, we’re going to make the next 12 months a wonderful time to be a part of Special Olympics!
With love,
The Special Olympics team
