Over the coming weeks and months, we will face new laws designed to deny patients their right to access abortion. We'll see political candidates with deep pockets work to unseat champions of reproductive rights and put Mitch McConnell — and others who will actively work against sexual and reproductive health — in charge of the Senate. And in the first six months of 2022, the Supreme Court will decide whether states can ban abortion in violation of Roe v. Wade. Thirty-six million women — plus others who could become pregnant — are at risk of losing access to safe and legal abortion.

We need to be ready to respond to new threats and do whatever it takes to defend access to care.
