Imagine waking up on the morning after the General Election, December 13th. You turn on the TV, or check social media. Or your brother or mother shouts at you as you stumble out of bed bleary-eyed. 

A wave of pro-People’s Vote MPs have been elected - ousting pro-Brexit MP after pro-Brexit MP. Iain Duncan Smith? Gone. Zac Goldsmith? Lost. 

It becomes clear there’s a majority in Parliament for a People’s Vote. Amazing! But that’s not the sweetest moment. 

Boris Johnson has lost his seat. 

I’m Ali Milani, the Labour candidate trying to unseat the Prime Minister in Uxbridge, and this is the vision my campaign is working towards. 

The People’s Vote campaign, along with other pro-European groups like Best For Britain, believe that I’m the best-placed candidate to beat Boris Johnson. I'm grateful for this, and for the amazing People's Vote activists who were campaigning with me yesterday.

All the polls are showing that there's a good chance Boris Johnson might lose his own seat if pro-Europeans vote tactically for Labour in Uxbridge.
