Dear John, The IRS is at it again. After countless revelations about the IRS’s politicization, leaks of confidential taxpayer information, and abuse of authority, Joe Biden wants tax collectors to infringe on our Constitutional rights by prying into our personal bank accounts. The president has proposed funneling billions of our tax dollars into the IRS so they can ramp up enforcement and hire tens of thousands of deputized federal agents to comb through your bank records. These IRS agents would be able to search any transactions that total at least $10,000. This means if you make at least $10,000, spend at least $10,000, or own a business with income of at least $10,000, banks will be forced to give that information to the IRS. The IRS will presume these transactions are all suspect and use the agency’s power to chase down law-abiding Americans for more taxes. The federal government has no right to spy on your bank accounts and know every time you make a deposit or spend money. But that is EXACTLY what the Biden administration wants to give the IRS the authority to do. We still have time to stop this radical invasion of privacy and power grab by the federal government, but we need your help to do it.
