1 day only: Your gift is doubled → (expires midnight — act now) ([link removed])

Amazing news, Friend: I just got off the phone with a close friend of Waterkeeper Alliance who is offering to match every gift we receive between now and midnight, up to a total of $5,000.

This unexpected opportunity could be a major victory for our work, but we’ll need new partners to hit this target and fund the most ambitious year of work to date — including our mission to restore the Clean Water Act’s regulations and protect waters across the U.S. So I’m asking you to officially join this work, right now.

Make your first-ever gift to Waterkeeper Alliance now, while all gifts are doubled. (expires midnight) → ([link removed])

This match could not have come at a more important moment for clean water.

The Trump administration redefined “waters of the United States”—which the Clean Water Act is charged with protecting—to its narrowest definition in the statute’s history, leaving countless rivers, streams, and wetlands entirely unprotected.

And just last week, the Biden administration proposed a new definition, which is a drastic improvement... but which doesn’t go nearly far enough.

In fact, the new administration’s rule leaves vital waters unprotected, contrary to the intent of the Clean Water Act, including treasured waters like Idaho’s Upper Snake River Closed Basins and New Mexico’s Central Closed Basin.

We’re using litigation, advocacy, and organizing to push the Biden administration to do better for the water we rely on... and I’m asking you to seize this match, active for under 24 hours, to drive action for clean water in 2022.

Time is so short on this offer, Friend. Please, act by midnight, and make your tax-deductible gift to double your impact → ([link removed])

With all of my gratitude,

— Katie
