Hi John, it's Abby again. I'm sure you're just as eager to head to bed as I am, but I promise this email is important for defeating Sen. Grassley (R-IA), so I hope you'll take a minute to read it first.

You see, my team just sent me the latest numbers and we're still $1,507 short of our $50,000 mid-month goal. Every fundraising deadline we meet is important, but this is a particularly big one. Here's why:

The mid-month deadline at 11:59 P.M. tonight is our last deadline before the final FEC public reporting deadline of the year. Hitting this mid-month goal is essential to putting us in the strongest possible position to raise what we need for the overall quarter – and, importantly, to show everybody from the political pundits to Sen. Grassley himself that our campaign is strong and has the resources to defeat him.

But right now, the Senate GOP's campaign arm has nearly $30 million in the bank that they can use to keep Iowa red. I refuse to let that happen, because this race is personal to me, John. I grew up in a working class, union family. I know exactly what it means for families when Sen. Grassley picks the interests of deep-pocketed billionaires over working families, or when he sides with corporations instead of the union members striking here in Iowa.
