Get Ready to Say #ThxBirthControl
On November 13, the nation celebrates #ThxBirthControl Day, 24-hours dedicated to acknowledging all the wonderful things birth control makes possible.
To help you celebrate the day, we've created an online toolkit—including suggested social media language—to a sneak peak of our digital postcards. You can access it here.
You can also get ready for Thanks, Birth Control day by buying #ThxBirthControl merchandise in our store and making a tax-deductible donation.

2020 Open Enrollment Has Begun
The Affordable Care Act is still law, and HeathCare.gov has now opened its enrollment period for 2020. Open Enrollment runs from November 1 through December 15. That’s only six weeks to find a plan or change to a plan that better fits your needs.
We know that seems like a short time, but don’t worry. Here are the resources and reminders to help you get your plan in time.

Let’s Talk Round Up
Do you worry that starting conversations with the young people in your life about sex, love, and birth control will feel awkward? Were your own experiences with “The Talk” less than positive?
Over the course of October, we celebrated Let’s Talk month by publishing a number of blogs, tips, and scripts to help champions talk to the young people in their lives. Check them out and start talking.
Give the Gift of Access: Support BCBenefits
It can cost a woman more than $500 a year to get birth control, something that 78% of adults agree is a basic part of health care. Give the gift of access to someone in need. BCBenefits, our contraceptive access fund, helps women with costs not covered by insurance, such as childcare, gas, and more. We want all women to be able to travel safely and worry-free to and from appointments to get the birth control that’s right for them. But we need your help. Donate now.
POLICY UPDATES
Your Help Still Needed to Fight the Domestic Gag Rule!
We are still waiting for Congress to act and protect the Title X Family Planning Program—the nation’s only federal funding dedicated to providing those most in need with free or low-cost contraceptive care. As we shared last month, as a result of the devastating “domestic gag rule” many health centers have left the Title X program and the millions of Title X dollars that were used to provide low-income people with the care that they need. To date, 30 states have been impacted, either losing some or all of their Title X funding, or clinics participating in the program.
As a result, some living in underserved communities and struggling to make ends meet are finding themselves unable to afford the contraception they need. Without Title X the number of women in need of publicly funded birth control nearly triples. Help us fight back now by sending a message demanding your members of Congress protect Title X. If you’ve already sent a message, ask your friends and family to do so!

A Rutgers-led national survey found that Democrat and Republican voters want continued government funding for teen pregnancy prevention programs. This study is consistent with our findings that 85% of adults favor maintaining federal funding for the Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program and the Personal Responsibility Education Program.
