John,
Whenever we take on a case, send a demand letter, or file a lawsuit, we’re committed to seeing it through to the end.
And I’m happy to report to you that James Staake’s extended battle with PayPal is finally over – at least for now.
As you may remember, James Staake is a small business owner who operates an online store that sells hand-crafted American and patriotic flags.
Everything was going well for James when, out of nowhere, “Big Tech” went after him.
Shopify delisted and deleted several of James’s American flag designs for purported “violation(s) of Community Standards.”
Facebook rescinded his advertising ability.
Then, PayPal began withholding tens of thousands of dollars of James’ money cripplingly his ability to fulfill orders.
And when James called PayPal to inquire his funds were being held, a supervisor alluded that his handcrafted wooden flags were “questionable products.”
The Center for American Liberty stepped in and immediately sent a demand letter to PayPal threatening a lawsuit.
With your help we forced PayPal to back down and agree to transfer James his hard-earned money.
I’m happy to report that, this month, PayPal FINALLY sent James his money.
John, the Center for American Liberty exists to defend your rights and freedoms from anyone or any organizations that attempts to violate them.
The American Flag isn’t racist, it doesn’t violate community standards, and Big Tech companies like PayPal have no right to deprive people from their right to make a living.
Though I hope no one else has to go through what James and his family had to endure, our complete victory in this case will almost assuredly embolden others who are being censored by Big Tech. Thank you once again for your continued support.
Sincerely,
