Friend,
We’re going live on Facebook in just a few minutes to discuss gun violence in our schools and communities, and what we can do to help keep our loved ones safe.
Click these links to watch it live on Facebook.
Gun violence threatens and disrupts daily life for millions of Americans, inflicting needless and preventable tragedy and anxiety across the country. This is especially true in our schools, where students, who should be focused on learning and growing, are scared of violence—both in and out of the classroom. In our work to create safe, welcoming communities for all, now is the time for us to center our attention on keeping our students and ourselves safe.
In this important town hall, we will be joined by gun violence prevention activists, survivors, parents, and students to discuss ways gun violence threatens our schools and communities and learn what we can do to prevent it.
We hope you’re able to tune in.
In unity,
Randi Weingarten
