I wanted to send an email to reflect on some of our organization’s biggest highlights from 2021 because we couldn’t have done any of it without you, our supporters.

We’ve had a pretty amazing year. From endorsing incredible candidates (and having a stellar win rate) to training the leaders of tomorrow and more, HBM went above and beyond to shatter glass ceilings and move our nation forward. Help us prepare for the next election cycle by chipping in $10 today.

In 2021, Her Bold Move endorsed and ran programs for a slate of truly deserving candidates, including:

Jennifer Carroll Foy (Candidate for Virginia Governor)
Eliza Orlins (Candidate for Manhattan District Attorney)
Dr. Aditi Bussells (Elected to Columbia, South Carolina City Council)
Irene Shin (Elected as Virginia Delegate)
Shahana Hanif (Elected to NYC City Council)

...and many more. And we emerged from this past election season with a staggering 60% win rate!!!!!

But that’s not all. HBM also:

Opened an Essential Workers Fund to encourage frontline workers to run for office and offered financial support for their campaigns from the very beginning.
Launched a fellowship program that has helped aspiring young female leaders from 22 different states understand what it takes to embark on a career in government.
Piloted a phone banking initiative that dared to tell voters, "you could be represented by a woman for the first time in history" to highlight the historical significance of each of our races. We called more than 300,000 voters – and we're just getting started.
Increased our coalition of volunteers by 10x – a rate that's rapidly climbing as we approach the midterms.

We are proud of the work we've done and the real progress we've made in 2021. We helped elect some of the most phenomenal female candidates to seats that had never been filled by a woman – and have been impressed and delighted by what they’ve already achieved as seated public officials.

We’re constantly meeting with outstanding female candidates running in the midterms. We’re ready to hit the ground running to get them elected – to usher them into the rooms where decisions are being made.

This is where you come in: You helped us shatter glass ceilings in 2021. It’s going to take an even bigger push to get these candidates elected in the midterms. We have a plan to make it happen. I hope you’ll join us in the fight.
