My finance team suggested I reach out to you before our mid-month fundraising deadline tomorrow. But before I make a request, I want to share the historic significance of what Democrats have accomplished in 2021, thanks to your support.

With only a handful of seats separating control of the House, and an even 50-50 tie in the Senate, Democrats in Congress have had no margin for error as we got to work with the Biden administration.

Change never came easy — as we battled against Republican obstructionists and the influence of special interest groups — but our House caucus remained united so that we could deliver what we promised to the American people.

And that’s exactly what we did: We passed historic climate investment and relief efforts to lower costs for working families in the Build Back Better Act , we passed a historic bill to revitalize our nation’s infrastructure, and delivered relief to help keep people safe and support our communities’ recovery from COVID-19.

The scale of what we accomplished with the narrowest of margins should not go unnoticed. But neither should the fact that Republicans will undo all this and more in an instant if they retake the majority during next year’s midterm elections.
