It’s been nine years since the massacre of 26 children and six educators at Sandy Hook elementary. It only took four minutes for this tragedy to happen.
President Biden served as Vice President during the mass shooting – he told the nation yesterday that it was "frustrating" that they were unable to pass gun violence prevention legislation then – and it's “frustrating now” that the Senate has not passed such legislation. This battle isn’t just “frustrating,” John, it’s a matter of life and death.

“I helped beat the NRA with your help twice… It can be done again. But we have to keep up the pressure.”
Biden’s call to action needs to be urgently heeded – and he needs to keep pushing alongside all of us. He has implemented some of his executive orders on gun violence and lifesaving legislation is waiting on Congressional votes. But we need more action and we need it right now. President Biden has the largest megaphone in the world. His call to eliminate the cause of that ‘frustration,’ the filibuster, would be a clear signal that enough is enough and the Senate cannot wait to act.
