Securing clean drinking water for future generations is extremely important — and drought isn't our only concern.

In the last two years, almost a third of Orange County groundwater wells were shut down because of PFAS contamination.

We need the EPA to direct funding to keep our drinking water free of chemical contamination. Add your name if you agree >>

PFAS chemicals have been connected to cancer, liver and kidney damage, and ulcerative colitis, which is why I fought so hard to address them while I was in Congress.

My opponent, on the other hand, has continually voted no on legislation that addresses PFAS contamination. Most recently, Michelle Steel voted against the Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill, which set aside $10 billion dollars to address PFAS contamination nationwide.

Now that the infrastructure bill has been passed — no thanks to Steel — we need to make sure that Orange County receives the funds it needs to protect our drinking water.

Harley Rouda served California's 48th district in Congress. In 2018, Harley defeated the 30-year incumbent Dana Rohrabacher in the very first political campaign of Harley's life. During his time in Congress, he's embraced common sense and values to tackle climate change, address deteriorating infrastructure, confront homelessness, and protect Social Security and Medicare. In 2022, Harley will be facing one of the toughest fights in the entire country, so he's depending on the support of grassroots individuals.
