Dear Friend,
On a sunny day last August I shared in my four-year-old nephew's delight in navigating a city by bus for the first time. His weeklong visit to DC gave him his first taste of using buses and trains daily, opening his young eyes to a whole new way of moving through the world. He loved every moment.
My nephew’s joy in our urban transit system and the opportunities that it unlocks crystallizes, for me, the value of staying on track with making transit, walking, biking, and other active modes the backbone of our urban landscape.
We’ve been working all year with many of you on exactly that.
As 2021 draws to a close, we’re reflecting on the progress we’ve made, even in the face of the evolving pandemic and other challenges. I wanted to share some highlights from our transportation advocacy this year, and ask you to join our year end campaign to raise $25,000, because your support is what makes this work possible.
Read on to learn more about the bright spots in our transportation advocacy work in 2021
And then make a one-time or recurring contribution today to help us raise $25,000 by December 31.
Working together is how we enter 2022 stronger than ever. Thank you for your support and for the work you do every day to make our region greater. In gratitude,
Caitlin Rogger Deputy Director P.S. Did you know we have 450 recurring monthly donors? Just $5 or $10 per month makes a huge impact, giving us the resources we need to advocate on issues as they arise. Please consider joining our Neighborhood!
