INSIGHT
CEOs on How the PEAK Community Will Change Grantmaking
This year, PEAK hosted a series of events that engaged some of the most innovative and forward-thinking leaders in the field of philanthropy who explored with us how grants management professionals are poised to transform the sector. As we reflect on 2021 and how much the field has evolved over 25 years, here are some of the words that have stayed with us and will inspire us as we begin a new year. We think they'll inspire you, too.

Wrapping Up a Milestone Year With Contemplation, Celebration, and Togetherness
At our final 25th anniversary event earlier this month, the PEAK community gathered for a truly joyful event featuring Satonya Fair’s “fireside chat” with Jamie Amagai, TeQuion Brookins, Margaret Egan, and Indya Hartley; community and staff toasts; a fun quiz on PEAK history; and a series of inspiring testimonial videos. If you couldn't join us, or if you want to relive the experience, here are a few more high points from the day.
- PEAK board members showed the love with inspiring hand-hearts!
- We heard from six CEOs on the invaluable contribution of grants management and PEAK’s role in supporting the field. Our thanks to Jim Canales, Robert Bank, Glen Galaich, Carmen Rojas, Susan Taylor Batten, and Sherece West-Scantlebury.
- We debuted our final anniversary video where Kelly Brown, Kerri Hurley, Ursula Stewart, and Satonya Fair look back on—and think ahead to—PEAK’s impact and potential to transform philanthropy.
We offer deep appreciation to our 25th Anniversary Committee members, led by cochairs Rebecca Van Sickle and Genise Singleton. Thank you also to our sponsors for the generous support.

PEAK’s Chantias Ford shared ways to improve grantmaking practice through managing up and tools and techniques to advocate for yourself and strengthen your relationship with your organization’s leaders. To view this presentation, click here.
