I'm proud to be part of the Verified Voting team as we work for voters ([link removed]) everywhere. Today, I want to share the story of my ongoing work with election officials in Ohio:
As Verified Voting’s Senior Policy Associate, I assist election officials across the country with risk-limiting audits (RLAs) and RLA pilots. This summer, my travels took me to Williams County, Ohio, which is the second county in the state that I’ve directly helped conduct an RLA pilot. While there, I guided election workers through an RLA pilot in preparation for future elections. I also met representatives from other counties who want to implement RLAs, and those discussions about RLA pilots are moving forward.

Connecting with election officials on the ground is the most meaningful part of my job, because the tools we’re giving them will help show voters that their vote counts. As calls for anti-voter sham election reviews continue, I’m proud of the real work we’re doing for voters in Ohio and across the map that will truly make our democracy more secure.

True audits aren’t about who’s on the ballot or which candidate won a contest. They’re designed to give voters justified confidence in our elections.
