I'm not a politician, and that's exactly why I'm the right person to take on Kevin McCarthy. I'm a teacher who spent the past two decades serving students and their families here in the Central Valley. That means I've interacted with thousands of voters in the community.
I've heard a lot from my kiddos about the issues that face our families, from good-paying jobs, to access to affordable health care.
We're not writing off anyone because they're "too Republican" or vote infrequently. We have to talk to everyone. So right now, we're working with organizers to begin mobilizing voters in every corner of this district. That's where you come in, John:

Since I announced my campaign, I received a ton of advice from so-called political "experts'' who seem to know what's best. And it's always the same story: raise as much as possible, stay away from tough questions, and buy TV ads as we get closer to the election.
I can tell you right now that's not how I'm running this campaign.
I'm going back to basics -- talking to my future constituents and uplifting their issues. I've seen what this community can do when we come together, and that's exactly what it's going to take to beat him.
