It’s sad how unsurprising it is that Kevin McCarthy is defending Lauren Boebert’s indefensibly racist and bigoted comments calling Rep. Ilhan Omar a terrorist.

We can expect more of this – and a whole lot worse – if Republicans take back the House next year.
