[Long-term Survivors of Suicide Loss Summit]([link removed])
The Long-Term Survivors of Suicide Loss Summit, taking place July 21 - 24, 2022 in Cleveland, Ohio, provides those who have lost a loved one to suicide several years in the past or more a unique opportunity to share their experiences, and benefit from constructive new insights on how to healthily continue their grief journey over time. Those whose loss is less recent (typically five or more years ago) are encouraged to attend, as the summit will offer a different perspective than for those whose grief is more recent.
Through workshops, expert-led discussions, and social activities, participants will engage with topics including:
the different stages of grief • how to break the silence within families • using art, writing, and physical activity to process feelings over time • the intersection of trauma and long-term suicide loss • the positive aspects of volunteering • suicide and military culture • the relation of spirituality to suicide loss • sharing about suicide loss in the digital age • facilitating support groups for the newly bereaved • turning pain into purpose • the need for self-compassion • coping with long-term grief and depression • and more
The Long-Term Survivors of Suicide Loss Summit is the only conference of its kind, and one that promises to offer participants invaluable strategies to reflect, grow, and continue to heal.
