I’ll spare you the full exposition of Ephesians 4:15 (“speaking the truth in love”) and instead quote from the preceding verse: “so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, and by craftiness in deceitful schemes.”

The waves and winds of our cultural moment at times feel like a hurricane. We need a sturdy anchor as we pursue a mature faith. First Things does not speak “our truth” or “your truth.” We strive to speak the Truth. Loudly, so that it reverberates throughout the public square, but also in love.
