Those numbers are crucial indicators of a campaign’s strength, and will set the tone as we enter the new year. And let’s not forget: The stakes in this race are incredibly high. With partisan gerrymandering tilting control of the House in the GOP’s favor, flipping districts like this one — especially when held by extreme, out-of-touch candidates like Scott Franklin — could be crucial in Democrats’ efforts to hold the House and deliver on an agenda that provides help to the people who need it most.
