You know that the heart of Equality Federation’s work has always been building strong, adaptive leaders.

We believe that strong leaders create effective organizations, and effective organizations create a thriving movement for LGBTQ+ equality. That’s why we created Project Game Changer in 2019: to build organizing power in the states.

Project Game Changer leverages the power of an engaged community to promote good policy (and defeat harmful laws) and elect pro-LGBTQ+ politicians. We know every state is unique. That’s why every organization in the program sets its own year-round goals to increase voter knowledge, civic engagement, and build volunteer leadership.

For the past two years, we’ve worked with 11 state partners to empower their supporters to create change in the communities they call home. Through biweekly one-on-one coaching with me and ongoing peer-to-peer learning, organizing staff in the Project Game Changer cohort are building people power where it matters most.
