But that also means that we’re a top GOP target. And team, ME-02 is ground zero in their push to take back the House.
Here’s the short story of our district and what we’re up against in 2022:
First, we defied the odds and flipped this seat blue in 2018 -- defeating an incumbent for the first time in 102 years in our district.
Then, in their plan to take back the House in 2022, the GOP establishment named me as a top target and are rallying around my opponent -- the same one we unseated in 2018 -- to flip this district back to red next year.
Now, after looking at Maine’s new congressional maps and the dynamics of our 2022 race, numerous national news outlets are confirming that ME-02 is the most competitive seat on the map -- and that control of the House will likely come down to what happens in our district.
We’re facing our final public fundraising deadline of the year in just a few short weeks, and right now we’re still trailing behind what we were projecting to raise this quarter. I’m asking you, personally: Can you chip in to help us put up a strong fight and keep this seat blue?
