Friend, Silvia, a beloved leader with LA RED, is an essential worker living in California without documentation. Silvia and her family worked through the pandemic, at great risk to their personal health and safety, to make sure our country stayed fed, safe, and running. Earlier this year, Faith in Action worked to organize faith leaders from around the country to come together to demand a pathway to citizenship for undocumented essential workers. Standing together, we declared the moral imperative of providing a pathway to citizenship for undocumented workers like Silvia and the 11 million undocumented members of our congregations and communities. The House of Representatives heard our call and passed the Dream and Promise Act in March. Now, we continue to organize so that the Senate ensures safety, health, and dignity for all our undocumented brothers and sisters. When you donate to Faith in Action, this is what you’re funding: direct action and organizing work to secure a pathway to citizenship for essential immigrant workers, DACA recipients, farm workers, and Temporary Protected Status (TPS) holders. |
