Jack, we need as many people as possible to help us make politics represent the needs of North Carolinians by investing in communities of color, expanding the engaged electorate. If you would prefer not to receive emails in the future, please feel free to opt in for fewer emails or unsubscribe here.
Jack, in 2020, the most massive year for voter turnout that we have ever seen in all of North Carolina’s very bloody voting history, nearly one million eligible voters of color did not vote.
The New North Carolina Project is here to change all that. We are going to create voters that show out for every election every time.
Why, if you have been silenced not only for decades but for centuries in this state and in this country, would you take time out of your day to speak up and out at the ballot box? Trust me. You wouldn’t.
Registering voters is one thing, but making sure those voters turn up to the polls -- and ensuring that they turn out for #EveryElectionEveryTime -- is a lot harder.
We are here to overcome the transactional nature of political campaigns. We’re here to provide health, wealth, and power to the communities who need it the most in the Old North State: communities of color.
Thank you for fighting along with us.
In solidarity,
Dr. Aimy Steele
Founding Executive Director
New North Carolina Project
