Dear Friends & Supporters, Running a successful campaign for Congress against a 25-year incumbent is one of the most difficult things to do in politics. The Swamp very much protects itself from reform-minded challengers like myself. It’s a huge reason why we desperately need Congressional term limits and other ethics reforms. My family took on this fight to change Washington D.C. and give the 12th Congressional District an authentic conservative voice and representation two years ago with our eyes wide open and a clear understanding of these challenges. Most of you know that I’m not afraid of doing hard things precisely because they’re hard and can have the greatest impact. Together we all almost pulled off a historical upset last year and only the bad luck of impeachment politics prevented us from winning. And while I believe we have an outstanding opportunity to finish the job we started, my family has different personal priorities for our next chapter. As a result, I will not be on the ballot this March running to be your Congressional representative. It was a difficult and emotional decision in no small part because so many of you believe so strongly in what we’re doing, and have enthusiastically given your personal time and treasure to the campaign. And to that end, while I won’t be a candidate this cycle, I’m not going anywhere. I will continue to be very active in politics as an activist, donor, and influencer continuing our fight for better government and protecting our conservative values with all of you. Thanks to all of you for everything you have done for me, my family, and the campaign over the past two years. Special thanks to Tarrant County Sheriff, Bill Waybourn, who helped put me on this path and did so much to support me. We’re all incredibly blessed to have his principled leadership. Most importantly, thanks to Amy, Tanner, Court, and Jack who allowed our family to be put under a very bright spotlight and never squinted. I couldn’t be any prouder of the grace they carried themselves with and the integrity with which they managed the public attention the past two years. This experience has been one of the richest and most rewarding of our lives despite not being able to serve you in Washington. Our collective efforts have had a major political impact, and we’ve met and worked with so many principled people that we will call friends forever. Love you all and Keep Fighting! “We are never defeated unless we give up on God” Ronald Reagan Chris Putnam Putnam4Texas.com Putnam for Congress | PO Box 136462, Fort Worth, TX 76136 Unsubscribe [email protected] Update Profile | About Constant Contact Sent by [email protected] in collaboration with Try email marketing for free today!
