debt crisis has surpassed $1.8 trillion.

On top of the devastating and long term economic effects of COVID-19,
leaving families struggling to pay their bills — people are expected to
start making student loans payments again on February 1, 2022.

With one swipe of the pen, President Biden could free a generation of
people from the crushing burden of student loan debt.

Student debt has gone up by more than 300% since 2003 — yet Congress has
made little to no movement to help alleviate this gigantic burden on
students. It’s why in his first term, Ro co-sponsored Bernie Sanders’ bill
to make public four-year colleges and universities affordable for all —
but we have to keep fighting.

College should be an available opportunity for anyone, regardless of
income — and together we can make that a reality. It’s going to require a
wave of support for our movement.
