If there’s one thing we know about Charlie Baker’s decision not to seek reelection in 2022, it’s that Team Donald Trump has an iron grip on the Massachusetts Republican Party.

With Baker off the ballot next November, the MassGOP’s leading candidate for governor is Geoff Diehl, a die-hard Trump loyalist dead set on rolling back progress on reproductive freedom, common-sense gun reform, healthcare, climate action, humane immigration policies, and more.

There’s a real possibility our nominee could be taking on Geoff Diehl in the general election. Will you chip in $5, $10, $25, or whatever you can, to invest in Democrats training and outreach NOW so our nominee can hit the ground running the day after the primary? ([link removed])

Geoff Diehl’s not just your run-of-the-mill Trump fanatic either, he’s the former chair of the disgraced president’s Massachusetts campaign. Trump awarded him his “complete and total endorsement,” which Diehl accepted enthusiastically and promised to bring Trump’s extreme-right platform to Massachusetts.
That’s exactly what Diehl tried to do as a state representative. Diehl voted again and again to make it harder for people to obtain abortions. He voted against enforcing the Paris Climate Agreement and implementing the Affordable Care Act in Massachusetts. He unsuccessfully pushed to cut funding for sanctuary cities and opposed “red flag” gun reform legislation that protects those who pose a risk to others and themselves.

With the MassGOP mob of Trump zealots behind him, Geoff Diehl could be going head to head with our Democratic nominee on Election Day.
