When we launched in Los Angeles we were thrilled to start to partner with the incredible organizations, activists, and public servants in this city who are working hard to address the massive ID needs in our community. True to what I have come to expect from the great people of LA, we have found open arms and enthusiasm for our work and, as the new year begins, we will be working with a lot of wonderful organizations across the county. And we need your help!
If you live in LA, we have several volunteer opportunities:
- Working with newly transitioned clients to help them get new IDs.
- Work with clients referred by Los Angeles County Public Defenders and other partners.
- Volunteering at the Skid Row Community ReFresh Spot on Wednesdays from 2-5pm (Spanish speakers needed!).
If you do not live in LA, please consider donating to STV. Los Angeles has a massive community of people who need IDs and we will be working very hard to expand the number of IDs we are getting which will require a bigger ID budget!
