Folks, before I ask you to chip in toward our last mid-month goal of the year, I want to share all we’ve accomplished because of this grassroots team. There’s no denying the past few years have been difficult. But we’ve overcome so many challenges that have been thrown at us. Last year, we came together to defeat Donald Trump, send President Biden to the White House, protect our majority in the House, and secure the Senate. Thanks to those victories, over the course of the past year, we passed the American Rescue Plan and the historic Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act — giving families massive economic relief and sending $3.7 billion-plus to New Mexico to repair our bridges and roads, expand access to clean drinking water, and preserve our planet for future generations. Now we’re on the brink of passing the Build Back Better Act in the Senate. We’ve got our best shot, right now, to make pre-k universal, alleviate child poverty, expand health care, and make once-in-a-generation investments to act on climate. Passing the Build Back Better Act is one of my top priorities because it responds to the everyday needs of New Mexicans and folks across the country.
