Dear John,

You can’t spell fundraising without “fun!” Yes, we all know that fundraising entails countless hours of difficult asks and follow ups. Yet, I am so grateful to connect with friends over the phone and at our recent fundraiser at Zeynep and Serhat’s house last Sunday. I am also so appreciative of the efforts of our recently formed Finance Committee.

Couldn’t make it last Sunday? Click here to contribute!

In reality, fundraising might not always be fun, but it’s powered by people who care deeply about the future of San Diego. That’s deeper than a fleeting feeling. It’s a vehicle to enact change. Our collective fundraising efforts are how we will communicate with almost TWO MILLION voters about how we will make the Assessor/Recorder/County Clerk office more equitable, transparent and accessible.

We are about two weeks away from the important December 31st fundraising deadline. I announced that I was running for this office just six weeks ago while my opponent has been raising money for more than a year. Will you help me catch up with my well-funded, opponent?

Help us take the fundraising lead by donating to my campaign!

For my reporting deadline, we need to show that we are a serious competitor. A recent poll showed that we have a clear path to victory if we have the necessary funds. So help me emphasize the “fun” in fundraising by giving us the resources we need to run a campaign firing on all cylinders.

Every dollar counts.

· $25 pays for 1,000 ad impressions on Facebook

· $100 pays for 2,000 MMS text messages

· $250 pays for 600 pieces of direct mail—We expect almost one million people to vote in June.

· $500 pays for 3,300 get out the vote door hangers

As always, please reach out if you have any questions or ideas. I hope to connect with you over the phone or in person before the new year.

Best,

Barbara Bry
