| Our annual Red Carpet Party was a huge success! On Friday, we came together to celebrate this year's wins, including building deeper connections with communities across the city, successfully fighting together to restore Muni service, launching our Youth Cohorts, and so much more. Many of these successes would not have been possible without the help and support of our members. We were honored to host many speakers at our event, including Supervisor Dean Preston, State Senator Scott Wiener, TWU 250a Vice President Pete Wilson, SFCTA Director Tilly Chang, and SFMTA Director Jeff Tumlin. We appreciate all the speakers coming to give their thoughts and insight on the future of San Francisco's transit. |
| | A special thank you to our sponsors: Kat Siegal, SFCTA, UCSF, and Assemblymember Phil Ting Senator Scott Wiener, Dehan Glanz, Richard Gross, Cyrus Hall, Sarah Jones, and Robert Frank |
| If you missed the party, we hope you can support us by making a donation as part of our End of Year Giving. We need your help to continue centering the riders' voice in our fight to make transit more accessible and equitable for all. |

| | This year's Red Carpet award winners: |
| Reanna Tong, Rider Vision Award: Reanna helped contribute to widening and diversifying SFTR's rider perspective greatly over the past year. After attending a training on how to tell your personal story, Reanna identified that the perspectives of women riders were underrepresented both at the agency level and within SFTR. Taking the lead, she helped identify research on women's travel patterns and needs on transit, which culminated in a Transit Safety for All panel which she moderated in September. In addition, Reanna has been an active member in SFTR's local funding working group, helping conduct interviews with partner organizations to inform our principles and lobby meetings with Supervisors and youth leaders. |

|
| Jonah Martin, Regional Transit Leadership Award: SFTR and our members have long wanted to engage deeper in Regional transit issues, but it's only been under Jonah's leadership that we've been able to get there. For the past year, Jonah has been our volunteer lead for SFTR's regional working group, helping draft agendas, support discussion and shape SFTR's regional policy. Under Jonah's leadership, SFTR has been able to carve out policy positions on fare integration and stimulus funding, as well as make Transit Month a regional event for the first time. |

|
| Regina Islas, Voice of Rider Award: With transit in crisis due to the pandemic, Regina stepped forward in 2021 to make sure the voices of riders were heard. She helped secure media coverage as one of the speakers for SFTR's MTC Release the Funds rally in May, making the KTVU 2 local news. She represented the perspective of riders in a key lobby meeting with Senator Feinstien's staff around transit stimulus funding, and recently was featured in a TED talk on transit recovery. |

|
| Cyrus Hall, All Around Volunteer: Cyrus has jumped into SFTR with gusto this year and his help couldn't have been more needed. Cyrus helped lead our transit funding evaluation as part of SFTR's local working group, he helped staff our regional engagement at MTC and with regional partners Voices for Public Transportation, and he spoke up repeatedly for riders during public comments whenever asked. |
