Hi John,

For many first-generation, lower-income students already facing obstacles to get to college, the road ahead has become even more complicated. The pandemic and school closures for 20+ months have taken a severe toll on our educational systems and, most importantly, on our youth. The path to our students’ goals is more challenging than ever.

Fulfillment Fund remains a steady presence for students , keeping them engaged and connected to their future. By helping our students navigate through the detours life has thrown at them, we are keeping our students focused on the Road Ahead and reaching their goals.

Your contribution — big or small — can make a difference in the lives of our students. And best of all, thanks to our generous Board of Directors, all gifts will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $ 150,000! That means your donation will strengthen our ability to support students and help them hold on to their hopes of becoming college graduates.

Can we count on your support? <[link removed]>

For almost a decade now, we have worked closely with Carlos Portillo and his two sons, Charlie and David. Today, Mr. Portillo’s sons are both scholarship recipients at Dickinson College (class of 2020 and 2023, respectively). He credits their ease into higher education to the work and support they received through our services. Charlie and David both exemplify the scale and depth of Fulfillment Fund programming. We have worked with them since their early teen, and in high school, they were both in our College Access Program and took part in our classroom lessons, one-on-one college counseling, Men Creating Change student enrichment group, and field trips to visit universities. After that, they attended Fulfillment Fund University and were both awarded Fulfillment Fund Scholarships.

"Having support through these crucial decisions about your child’s education and future can empower parents to be there for their students."
