Hello John,

The deadliest year for gun violence is coming to an end and thankfully we are on the cusp of lasting change – but it will only happen with your help! President Biden has taken steps to prevent gun violence on a national level and we need to make sure that Congress finally takes action to support these lifesaving measures before they leave for holiday recess.
Last month, the House passed the Build Back Better Act which includes a $5 billion investment in communities across the nation, supporting community violence intervention (CVI) strategies that are proven to break the cycles of gun violence and save lives. This is consequential legislation: It’s the largest single investment in preventing gun violence in our nation’s history. But we still need the Senate to take critical action and ensure that this landmark spending package remains true to its goal to fund communities, and save lives.

[[link removed]]This is a real opportunity to tangibly reduce gun violence and now is the time to act. We are counting on our grassroots activists to call their Senators and urge them to take swift action to save lives. But it won’t happen if we don’t make our voices heard and we only have two weeks left: John, one call could help make a lasting investment to prevent gun violence in our communities, and it will only take 5 minutes. Will you call your Senator right now and urge them to support this critical legislation? [[link removed]]

Urge your Senator to vote YES! >>> [[link removed]]CVI models have been implemented in cities where they have been proven to be effective in saving lives and this critical investment will empower local, on-the-ground organizations to offer critical social services to community members.

Your engagement and support is absolutely critical as our policy team works to have the conversations we need with legislators to make this life-saving legislation a reality. Thank you for taking action alongside Brady.

In Solidarity,
Team Brady
