Last Friday, November 1, open enrollment for the Affordable Care Act (ACA) opened.  Enrollment is easy at healthcare.gov.

As a post-doctoral fellow at the Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology at the University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign I received a stipend for health insurance, and proudly utilized the ACA.

I was able to choose the best health insurance plan for my needs, receive preventative care, and live my healthiest life: BECAUSE the ACA was available.  For three years, I benefited from that program.

My goal in running for Congress is to ensure that every person is able to live their best life.  If you or anyone you know needs health insurance, I can personally attest to the ease of using the ACA, and the benefits to having that peace of mind.  I even posted a video of me enrolling on Facebook to prove how easy it is!
