John -- I'm asking for $5. If you keep reading, I'll explain why.
We're at a turning point in the fight for fair districts. About half the states have drawn their maps. Some of those maps fairly represent voters, some of them don't (but even in those cases, we're not done fighting).
So it's time to take stock. When we look back at 2021-2022 redistricting, what will we see? That we fought as hard as we could to get the fairest possible outcome? In order for that to happen we need everyone in this community to pitch in, especially if you haven't before.
That's why I'm only asking for $5 today. You may not think that amount can do much. But I've seen how powerful we can be when your $5 combines with your neighbor's $5 and the $5 of many other neighbors and gets put toward getting things done.
Remember, this is the community that helped elect 6 governors and flip countless state legislative seats to get Democrats a place at the table for redistricting. This is the community that fought back even when the Supreme Court refused to put guardrails on partisan gerrymandering. I know we have it in us to help secure fair maps in critical swing states like Arizona, Pennsylvania, and Michigan.
