If the Supreme Court wants to let private citizens in Texas sue to stop women from getting an abortion, then we are going to use that precedent to save lives from gun violence in California.

Here is the truth:

The right to abortion is a constitutionally protected right. But the Supreme Court allowed Texas legislators to circumvent that protection.

So I am going to work with the legislature and Attorney General to create and pass a bill that would allow private citizens to sue anyone who manufactures, distributes, or sells an assault weapon or ghost gun kit or parts in the State of California.

Now I’d like to know if you agree:

Add your name if you agree we should use Texas law to keep assault weapons and ghost guns off California streets. I am looking for a lot of signatures backing me up. >>> [link removed]

If the most efficient way to keep these weapons off our streets is to add the threat of private lawsuits, then let’s go. That’s what we’re going to do.
