In 2 months, in-person early voting for our first 2022 primary starts. And
we have a chance to defeat an anti-abortion Democrat who votes against
labor unions and action on climate change.

Justice Democrat Jessica Cisneros is taking on corporate Democrat Henry
Cuellar in Texas’ 28th Congressional District.

As soon as polls open and mail ballots arrive to voters in TX-28, we need
to ensure folks are ready to elect Jessica — a progressive fighter for the
people. Cuellar is Big Oil’s favorite Democrat, and he’s been the ONLY
Democrat in the House this year to vote against labor unions and abortion
rights. He’s the most conservative Democrat in the House. We need to
defeat Cuellar.

We here at Justice Democrats made our first mark on Congress when we
helped elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in 2018. Not only did we change
politics by helping send her to D.C., we ousted one of the most powerful
Democrats in the House.

By recruiting and helping to elect AOC, Cori Bush, Jamaal Bowman, and
others, we’ve built progressive power in Congress for the first time in a
long time. But we know we still have a long way to go to transform the
Democratic Party and pass Medicare for All and a Green New Deal.

Our next step in that process is electing Jessica Cisneros. But we don’t
know if we can get outspent 5-to-1 and still come out on top. The Wall
Street, fossil fuel, and corporate PAC money will keep flowing to Cuellar
as primary day approaches. We’re relying on a flood of grassroots
donations — $5, $27, $50, whatever folks can afford — to help us close
this fundraising gap.

The political establishment will do absolutely everything it can to stop
more Justice Democrats from winning a seat in Congress. Corporate
Democrats don’t want to see Jessica and her support for Medicare for All
and a Green New Deal unseat their friend, Rep. Cuellar.
