 Friend -- This fall, we saw how suburbs can swing to the right. Minnesota isn't Virginia or New Jersey, but those elections gave Republicans a playbook for flipping Congress by flipping suburban districts. If we don't raise enough money to reach voters with a strong grassroots campaign, it could work here. Our district elected Republicans for 60 years before we elected Dean in 2018. That means we can't take any election outcome for granted.
Dean and other Democrats in Congress have delivered so much for us these last few weeks. First, they passed the bipartisan infrastructure package to improve our roads, bridges, and public transportation. Then, they passed the Build Back Better Act, a historic investment in climate action and the middle class. These are real victories for all Americans – including those who didn't vote for Democrats. If Republicans succeed in flipping this district and the House, we'll lose our shot at further progress. We'll lose our shot at saving our democracy. Stopping gun violence.
