Since 2015, we have been working together to build a better future for all Canadians. Today there are more women in the House of Commons than ever before. We have a price on pollution that not only works to protect our environment, but also makes life more affordable for Canadians. Millions of Canadian families now have hundreds of dollars more every month for essentials like groceries or school supplies thanks to the Canada Child Benefit. And there’s so much more to do to build a better future for all Canadians.
2021 has been a big year for our movement as well, from connecting with more Canadians on the phone and getting back onto doorsteps safely, to earning a third mandate from Canadians in September, to introducing your new Cabinet this fall and advancing our strong and progressive plan to invest in Canadians – there is much to celebrate, and much to look forward to in the new year.
This afternoon, Chrystia Freeland will present the 2021 Economic and Fiscal Update that will lay out how our Liberal government will finish the fight against COVID-19, ensure a strong economic recovery, and make life more affordable for Canadians.
