Hello ,

From everyone at the Ayni Institute, we hope this email finds you well and that you are having a warm start to the winter and holiday seasons. After the launch of the Ayni School ([link removed])
earlier this year, we are excited to announce our newest mini course titled Reciprocity vs. Empire: The Long View Series.
Enroll in Reciprocity vs. Empire Mini Course ([link removed])

The Reciprocity vs. Empire: The Long View Series mini course is an introduction to the ancestral concept of Reciprocity and how this stands in contradiction to two of the most important historical processes of the last 5,000 years, domination through empire and accumulation through capitalism.

The first two modules, which you can access for free here ([link removed]) , introduce the concept of Reciprocity and provides an introduction to the Long View of history. This methodological perspective allows one to view the roots of our social problems through historical processes over 5,000 years ago and thus grasp the complexity of our social relations today. The subsequent modules cover the different modalities and scales of Reciprocity and the history of empire (domination) and capitalism (accumulation) that has characterized modernity and our modern social formation.

It is our hope that this course can contribute to an understanding of the complexity of our issues and to begin to build a historical perspective to guide our organizing, social movement, and personal transformation work. This mini course is a contribution toward a macro and systematic perspective of the origins of some of our biggest societal issues and how to understand them so that we may begin to transcend them and bring about a more reciprocal world. We invite you to join us in this Long View journey and we hope that this mini course can be a good starting point in your learning!

In reciprocity,
Carlos Saavedra & Sergio Hurtado

P.S. - This mini course is an accessible excerpt from the Seeds Course ([link removed]) , titled the “Book of Reciprocity.” It has been reformatted and repurposed as a standalone mini course which we will continue to add material and content to in the future. If you have already purchased the Seeds Course, this course will be offered to you free of charge.
